Snider Industries manufactures approximately 50 million feet of southern yellow pine one-inch lumber annually. For over 75 years, Snider Industries, a third-generation family owned business, has been making the finest quality one-inch southern yellow pine boards available in the market.
Snider Industries approached Praeses Business Technologies about creating a software solution that would replace their current fuel, timber, and lumber management systems. At the same time, they were interested in creating a new web portal which would improve the client experience to drive additional customer satisfaction and increase sales.
The customer portal would give Snider customers easy access to quotations, current orders and planning for future orders. It would also streamline internal processes and eliminate extra steps such as faxing and printing orders and shipping tickets.
The current software used by internal Snider staff was antiquated. Praeses Business Technologies was tasked with a creating and developing a new tool that would replace current fuel, timber, and lumber management systems and improve pricing procedures for the internal sales team. Snider also had an interest in creating a new web portal which would improve the client experience to drive additional customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Praeses Business Technologies created a dynamic rules engine based on supply and demand to more accurately price existing inventory. This was coupled with an enterprise level accounting system integration which vastly improved accuracy and efficiency within the company. The customer portal enabled Snider customer's easy access to quotations, current orders, and planning for future orders. It also could be adapted to streamline internal processes and eliminate extra steps such as faxing and printing orders and shipping tickets.
